THE

at a meeting held in the Council Chamber,

Hong Kong,

on the 30th September, 1926.

719

The Comittee considered proposals for improving the conditions under which pensions are awarded to European Matrons and Nursing Sisters, otherwise eligible for pension under the existing regulations.

It was unanimously agreed that provision should be made for the grant of a pension with full tropical allowance at the age of fifty years or after twenty years of service, whichever is earlier, in the case of European Matrons and Nursing Sisters.

It was further unanimously agreed that for the purpose of calculating the pensionable emoluments of European Matrons and Nursing Sisters, there should be added to the actual salary, in consideration of the right to free quarters and other privileges, a sum of £50 or one sixth of salary whichever should be greater.
